The Slice 10585 Manual Carton Cutter is a smart addition to our collection of safety knives. This tool is specifically designed for cutting boxboard and thin corrugate, with the exposed blade length and angle ideal for this purpose. The Slice Carton Cutter (Manual) has just the right amount of blade exposure to effortlessly cut through boxboard without causing damage to the package contents. You can easily slide the protective metal sheath of the tool to cover or uncover the blade as needed. The 10585 comes with a rounded-tip 10526 utility knife blade, which, like all Slice blades, features a finger-friendly edge, is chemically inert, rust-resistant, and lasts up to 11 times longer than a comparable metal blade.

The choice of ceramic blades in our products is deliberate, as they are significantly harder and sharper compared to metal blades. Ceramic blades rate at 8.2 on the Mohs hardness scale, second only to diamonds, while metal blades rate at 5.5. This hardness allows ceramic blades to maintain their sharpness longer, cut better, and require less frequent replacements, lasting up to 10 times longer than metal blades. With fewer blade changes, there is also a reduced risk of injury, making ceramic cutters a safer option.
